Long Aviation was founded in September, 1998 by Jonathan
Long (pictured above). An experienced cargo airline pilot with thousands of
flight hours in aircraft ranging from small prop planes to heavy jets, Long had
a simple goal for the new company: provide high quality, professional flight
instruction and aircraft rental in a fun, laid-back environment. Long started
the company with one aircraft and a small rented office at the Goose Creek
Airport. With Long's straightforward approach and emphasis on individual
attention to each student, the company grew quickly.
Today, Long Aviation operates a small fleet of
rental and training aircraft. The company offers all types of flight training,
for beginning private pilot students through commercial pilot applicants. All
training aircraft are available for rent by students or licensed pilots. In
addition, Long Aviation also offers storage for privately owned
aircraft at the airport, fuel sales of 100LL Avgas, professional aerial
photographic services, and aircraft buyer's consulting services.
